Van rental: 2020 Tesla Model Y Performance in Ruby

Van rental with this car

Want the 2020 Tesla Model Y Performance as a van or a seven-seat car? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

The Model Y and Ruby

Ruby is about 2,589 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you need it in Ruby itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Around Ruby you will also find Alder, Laurin and Junction.

The numbers in plain words

The electric motor is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Energy use is rated at 17.4 kWh/100 km, about 52 kWh for 300 km. Its rated range is 507 km on a full charge; real range drops in cold weather and at highway speeds. At our price setting, it costs about $2.61 to drive 100 km.

Who the Model Y suits

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits people who want to try an electric car before buying one.

Inside and out

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

In our fleet

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Requirements

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

What happens when you ask for a car

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Ready when you are
