The Model Y and Ruby

Around Ruby you will also find Alder, Laurin and Junction.

The numbers in plain words

It runs the electric motor, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

At 17.4 kWh/100 km, a 300 km day uses roughly 52 kWh. On paper it goes 507 km between charges, less in winter. A 300 km weekend costs about $7.83 in energy at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits city driving and anyone with charging at home or work.

The Model Y in everyday use

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Can you rent one?

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner.

Who can rent

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

Getting the car booked

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. You pay only once you approve the offer.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Ready when you are

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
