Car subscription: the 2020 Subaru Forester Base

This page joins two things: car subscription, and the 2020 Subaru Forester Base in plain words. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.

Java and the Forester

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Selby, Lowry and Sitka are the closest places to Java on our list.

What the specs mean

The 2.5L 4-cylinder with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The EPA rates it at 8.2 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 25 litres. In money, 1,000 km costs about $127.10 at our price setting.

What to expect from the Forester

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Who the Forester suits

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Renting this car

Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates.

Booking, step by step

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

What to have ready

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
