What the specs mean

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The combined figure, 8.3 L/100 km, means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

What the A4 is like

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Its 340 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Our A4 cars

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.

The booking steps

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

What you need to rent

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
