Under the hood

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Combined fuel use is 8.3 L/100 km: about 25 litres for 300 km. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

What the A4 is like

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. The trunk holds 340 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Good uses for the A4

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Our A4 cars

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.

Booking with CarmaCars

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

What we check

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Talk to a person

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
