Engine and fuel

The engine is the electric motor, with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Rated energy use is 18.6 kWh per 100 km. A full charge is rated for 507 km; plan for less in the cold. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $8.37 at our price setting.

Size and space

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 425 litre trunk is enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

The booking steps

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

Rules for renters

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
