The rules, briefly
Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.
Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
