G2 driver car rental: 2020 Subaru Forester Base in Java

G2 driver car rental with this car

The 2020 Subaru Forester Base is on this page for G2 driver car rental: here is what to know before you request one.

The Forester and Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

If you are near Java, Selby, Lowry and Sitka are close too.

Engine and fuel

It runs the 2.5L 4-cylinder, with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.2 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. That works out to about $12.71 per 100 km at our price setting.

What to expect from the Forester

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting it

Rules for renters

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

Requesting a car

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
