Renting for Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,933 km away. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Around Java you will also find Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

Under the hood

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Combined fuel use is 8.6 L/100 km: about 26 litres for 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $15.05 to drive 100 km.

Who it is for

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Inside and out

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Its 368 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Getting the car booked

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

What to have ready

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Next step

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
