Arranging the work in Ruby

Oil Change in Ruby: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. An oil and filter change, done by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. The right oil grade for your engine is in the owner's manual.

Who does what

We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.

Small things that help

Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

Our area and Ruby

There is no CarmaCars location in Ruby; everything we do starts in Toronto. The distance is about 3,197 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

Planning to bring the car to Toronto? Tell us when, and we arrange the shop. For work in Ruby, ask in a request and we tell you honestly whether we know a shop there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Ruby if you like. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
