A rental car in Ruby

This page is for Ruby, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. What this means: No subscription contract: rent month to month instead. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement, and you can stop at the end of any booking. The deposit is never taken at booking, only shortly before pickup.

CarmaCars and Ruby

There is no CarmaCars location in Ruby; everything we do starts in Toronto. Our delivery area ends about 80 km from Toronto, and Ruby is about 3,192 km out.

If you are flying from Toronto to Ruby, we can help with a car on the Toronto side of the trip. A rental can leave Ontario only with our written consent, agreed before you go. Still have a question about Ruby? Ask in a request, and we answer plainly. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

Why this works

Month to month, you keep the flexibility of a rental and skip the commitment of a lease. Renting month to month means no long commitment and no buyout at the end. Every booking has a signed agreement in your account. The request is free, so you can ask without committing.

Good fits

Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own. People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy.

Who qualifies

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

Getting the car booked

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. You pay only once you approve the offer.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Make a request

Not sure which car? Describe the trip in your request and we will suggest one.
