Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers in Ruby, NE

Your car in Ruby

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. This page explains what that means if you need a rental car in Ruby. In short: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. All prices are before tax; the offer shows the total.

Why this way of renting

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Rates are before 13% HST, and the offer shows the tax too. Rent by the day, by the week, or up to 365 days at a time.

Typical renters

People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

Driver basics

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

From your dates to the handover

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
