Turo Alternative in Ruby, NE

Getting a car in Ruby

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. This page explains what that means if you need a rental car in Ruby. One thing to know: Rent from CarmaCars directly: one company handles the car, the rental agreement, the deposit and support from the request to the return. Send a request with no payment, and pay only once we confirm the car and the full price. Turo is named only to describe what you compared; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by Turo. Each car lists its rates for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month.

What we can do for Ruby

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Ruby is outside our area. With Ruby about 1,497 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

Back from Ruby and landing at Toronto Pearson? We can meet you there with a car. Because Ruby is outside Ontario, the trip needs our written consent first. Unsure? Send a request about Ruby, and we answer plainly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.

Why rent with us in Ruby

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. One small team handles your request from start to finish. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account.

Who can rent

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

How a booking comes together

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
