Getting to know the 2000 Lexus LS
If you are looking at the 2000 Lexus LS, here is what the figures say.
What the figures tell you
It uses the 4.0L 8-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference. It shifts by itself; there is no clutch pedal to think about.
Expect about 37 litres for every 300 km, going by its 12.4 L/100 km combined rating. Around town it is rated at 14.7 L/100 km; on the highway, 10.2. A 300 km weekend costs about $65.10 in energy at our price setting. We count premium at $1.75 a litre for the cost figures on this page.
Room inside
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. In plain terms, its 396 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who the LS suits
It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Longer drives
For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day.
Renting the LS from CarmaCars
None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
What we check
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.
Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
Booking made plain
Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.
Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
