What to know about the 2017 Lexus LS
The 2017 Lexus LS came with 2 powertrains; the most efficient is the 4.6L 8-cylinder.
The figures, translated
The engine is the 4.6L 8-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference. It shifts by itself; there is no clutch pedal to think about.
Combined fuel use is 12.3 L/100 km: about 37 litres for 300 km. City driving is rated 14.4 L/100 km and highway driving 9.7. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $21.53. We count premium at $1.75 a litre for the cost figures on this page.
How big it is
As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is 396 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who it is for
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
Trips in the LS
For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies.
Can you rent one?
There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
From your dates to the handover
Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.
The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
Before pickup
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
