The 2011 Lexus LS in short
Here is what the 2011 Lexus LS offered, in numbers and plain words.
The numbers in plain words
Under the hood: the 5.0L 8-cylinder hybrid and all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires. The gearbox is a continuously variable automatic, so there are no gear changes to feel.
Combined fuel use is 11.5 L/100 km: about 35 litres for 300 km. It uses 12.7 L/100 km in the city and 10.1 on the highway, by its rating. In money, 1,000 km costs about $178.30 at our price setting.
Good uses for the LS
Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits stop-and-go driving and rideshare or delivery work. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Road trips
For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. A long weekend away is easy to price with the figures on this page. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day.
Space, size and seats
Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. EPA lists 283 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
In our fleet
Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
How to book
It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
Licence, age and card
Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.
Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
