The A4 and Java

Frankfort, Sharples and Raab Corners are the closest places to Java on our list.

Engine and fuel

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid drives through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. That works out to about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Who the A4 suits

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Practical details

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA lists 340 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Rent it from us

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

Before you rent

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

How to book

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Make a request

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
