Emissions Test in Ruby, NY

Arranging the work in Ruby

Emissions Test in Ruby: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

Who does what

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven.

Between shop visits

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.

What to ask

Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.

Our area

Ruby is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. We do not deliver as far as Ruby, about 469 km from our location in Toronto.

If the car can come to the Toronto area, we can arrange a trusted shop there. Planning to bring the car to Toronto? Tell us when, and we arrange the shop. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Ruby if you like. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

Next step

Ask us, and we tell you whether we can arrange it.
