Shopping for a car in Ruby

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Ruby, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it. A rental of the same model for a week shows how it fits your commute, your parking and your family.

Rent it before you buy it

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Before you sign

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

A car meanwhile

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere.

Before you plan around us

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Ruby; we work from Toronto. Ruby is about 474 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 80 km.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Need something in Ruby? Send a request and a person replies with an honest answer. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
