Mechanic in Ruby, NY

Mechanic for Ruby

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Ruby is about 469 km away. What it involves: Repairs and maintenance by a mechanic at a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.

What to send us

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location.

Between shop visits

Look at the tire tread before long trips. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.

Before the shop starts

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.

Before you plan

CarmaCars works from one location in Toronto and does not operate in Ruby. Ruby lies about 469 km from our location in Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 250 km.

If the car can come to the Toronto area, we can arrange a trusted shop there. We know shops around Toronto best; for Ruby, we say plainly what we can do. Send a request with what you need in Ruby, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.

Send a request

One request: the job, the car, and whether you need a rental meanwhile.
