Car Leasing in Berkeley, CA

Buying a car in Berkeley

People searching for car leasing sometimes find us. We are a rental company, and here is how that helps. Leasing companies and dealers offer leases; CarmaCars does not, but a monthly rental needs no long commitment. A lease takeover or a new lease takes time to arrange; a monthly rental can cover that time.

Why rent first

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Before you sign

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Before your next car arrives

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.

Toronto based

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Berkeley is outside our area. Our deliveries stop at about 80 km from Toronto; Berkeley is roughly 3,628 km away.

Shopping in Berkeley? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. For buying in Berkeley, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. A request about Berkeley gets an honest answer from a person. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
