Certified Pre-Owned in Basic

Certified Pre-Owned in Basic: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first.

Why rent first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Checks worth doing

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.
