Trade In for Basic

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

A test drive that lasts

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car?

What to check before you buy

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Between cars

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.
