Trade In: what CarmaCars does

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells.

Why rent first

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

Buying smart in Ontario

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

Between cars

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
