Car Inspection in Ruby

Car Inspection for Ruby

CarmaCars arranges an inspection for drivers in Ruby through trusted shops, and rents you a car meanwhile. Plainly: A mechanical inspection, for example before you buy a used car, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. An inspection before you buy a used car can save you from an expensive surprise.

What we arrange

Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done.

A car while yours is in the shop

When the shop is done, we collect the rental from you. If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Pickup at our location is always free.

Talking to the shop

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.

Small things that help

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
