Buying a car in Ruby

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. We are not a dealership, and we do not arrange loans or leases. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it.

Try it for a week first

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

What to check before you buy

Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

A car meanwhile

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Toronto based

We are based in Toronto; Ruby is not somewhere we have a location. Ruby lies about 265 km from central Toronto, well beyond our 80 km delivery area.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Tell us what you need in Ruby, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.

Still deciding?

A rental request is free; the offer shows the full price.
